NPAA - Native Plants Are Awesome! March Madness 2021

Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District announces the inaugural NPAA - Native Plants Are Awesome
March Madness 2021

Cuyahoga SWCD staff (and one board member) are fighting for bragging rights for their favorite native plant to make it to the winning spot. Starting March 1st, YOU will vote to advance a native plant to the next round.

A competition will go up at noon each Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the month. Voting will be open for 24 hours. Votes are cast by writing the name of the plant in the comments on our Facebook or Instagram site.

We’ve got 16 sweet native plants to choose from - then we move to the elite 8, the final 4, and, well, you know how it goes. The winning plant will be crowned at the beginning of April - Ohio Native Plant Month.

YOU can win too. Before the competition starts, fill out the bracket with your picks all the way to the winning spot. If you pick a perfect bracket, you win a packet of native seeds. It’s never been done in basketball but we know someone will do it for the NPAA. Send your completed bracket to Amy at aroskilly@cuyahogaswcd.org by Monday, March 1st at 11:59am. Good luck!

May the best plant win!
